CUAG is funded mainly by Carleton University, with additional support from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council in recognition of the excellence of CUAG’s program. It does not charge admission, and raises additional revenues from gallery rentals, sales of catalogues, and gifts from supporters. These revenues are a significant source of support for the gallery’s research activities, new acquisitions for the collection, and publications. In 2008, the University created an endowment fund for CUAG, seeded by donations from supporters, in order to further the gallery’s long-term goals of developing and preserving its collection, updating and expanding its facilities, and disseminating knowledge of the visual arts in Canada.
Further information about supporting CUAG may be obtained by contacting the gallery’s director, Sandra Dyck, at (613) 520-2600, ext. 1357, or Anastazia Krneta, Senior Development Officer, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, at (613) 520-2600, ext. 8187.

Gifts of Works of Art
CUAG gratefully acknowledges the support of the many individuals whose generous gifts of works of art have helped us build the collection as an important resource for research, teaching, learning, and discovery. We continue to add selectively to the collection, and welcome gifts whose artistic quality or historical significance build on the collection’s strengths, or fill important gaps. All proposed gifts are reviewed by CUAG’s director and curator in consultation with the gallery’s Advisory Committee. A tax receipt is issued by the University for donations.
Further information about giving a work of art to CUAG may be obtained by contacting the gallery’s director, Sandra Dyck, at (613) 520-2600, ext. 1357.
